Embrujada - Charms for the Living

Full of enigmatic illustrations and objects, the book combines notes, dialogues, and annotated works, inviting readers to interlace the Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based artist’s living field work into encounters that shape a feminist and decolonial perspective. The compendium considers works from Lofgren’s practice, largely inspired by natural and organic forms and involving sculpture, installation, and works on paper, in the process delivering sculptural charms that link scientific fields to the spirit realm, while leaving space for the unknown and the unknowable.
