The queer scene of âSteel Cityâ is one of the most diverse and up-and-coming in the country. The city as well has been flourishing of late, filling disused warehouses and broken factories with artistsâ studios, independent bars and restaurants, and revitalisation projects that so far have been keen to maintain the townâs true character. On the surface you might be reminded of a Shoreditch or a Brooklyn, but minus the hipster pretensions or snobbishness. Pittsburgh is truly welcoming, and itâs truly a revelation.
