Window glass as a full brake. In DISPLAY, shop mannequins are dissected. The shop window is displayed as an inaccessible space between sidewalk and store, an interface between interior and exterior. The staged mannequins with their gestures appear like cinematic freeze frames. Winnes RademÀchers places a smartphone directly against the glass and snaps a shot. The viewpoint and distance to the mannequins are thus fixed, artistic intervention is minimized. The strong image cut-outs suggest that the dolls have a ghostly life of their own. Fashion, stripped of its labels, loses its constructed value and fantasy pricing. It becomes a material sample. 3D tension in 2D.
