Alvento #39

Alvento #39

There are a number of reasons why the period between May and June is special for all of us. The days are long, very long. Which means more hours in the saddle and less stress. It’s hot, but not that exaggeratedly hot, it feels good, at all hours, even when the sun is tingling your forearms. And then there is the Giro d’Italia, the event that unites the country more than any other. It is the beginning of summer, which smells of promise, of something beautiful to come and long overdue. And we cyclists are all a bit of dreamers, so we’re enjoying it all a bit too much. That’s what Alvento #39 is about.

The first three stages of the Giro in Albania experienced with the Decathlon team Ag2r La Mondiale.
On stage 17, the Giro d’Italia returned to the dreaded slopes of the Mortirolo.
Closing the loop: interview with Chris Froome.
Otherwise what is the bike for? The new career of Anna van der Breggen.
The Tour de France will be back on Mont Ventoux: we rode it on all three sides, obtaining the Les Cinglés du Mont-Ventoux patent.
Shardana, an adventure in the heart of Sardinia
A port on the world: preview of the new Nova Eroica Istria route.
Santini 60. We met Pietro and Maria Rosa Santini at the brand’s new headquarters.
